About [Edit]
The mission of Atlantic Street Center, an agency related to the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, is to help families and communities raise healthy, self-sufficient children and youth. We seek to achieve our mission through the provision of holistic counseling, case management, and educational support. We primarily serve African American and other minority children, youth and families who are low income and living in the Seattle/King County area
Our approach is twofold. We offer in-depth counseling services to stabilize families and help children and teenagers address difficult challenges. We also offer youth and family leadership development programs that build skills, strengthen families, and promote self-improvement.
Our programs include counseling, case mangement, support groups, tutoring, social skills development, self-improvement classes, cultural events, a summer school, social and recreational activities, and more
Atlantic Street Center is committed to helping families succeed. An important tool in this effort is family centers that offer opportunities for fellowship, education, support, and access to critical resources
