Sustainable Sustenance is an informal collection of people interested in eating good, wholesome food, producing such food, and related topics. Participants share ideas, knowledge, and tools, whatever someone needs that someone else can help provide. It is about relationship and community building as well as food, and encompasses local economy issues and support of local farmers. There are no dues and no membership structures, no leadership structures at this point as it is a very young group and evolving. As the organizer, I am very oriented toward education around food and health issues, and do whatever I can to foster the exchange of information among participants. We have a monthly potluck with a program of some sort, often a film or a presentation by one of our members.
