About  [Edit]

The U.S. Green Building Council's core purpose is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

The Vermont Green Building Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing Vermont’s participation in green building and to promoting the environmental, financial, community, and health benefits of green design, construction, and building operation practices. We are builders, designers, developers, policy makers, service providers, and other building industry professionals working together to improve building practices in Vermont.

What We Do - Goals:

• Promote collaboration among individuals and organizations that provide or use green building services, products, and technologies.

• Advocate for green building practices and sustainable development.

• Educate the public and building professionals about green design, construction, and building operations.

• Increase use and sales of Vermont green building services, products, and technologies.

• Increase the percentage of Vermont buildings that are green buildings.
