About [Edit]
The GeneEthics Network is a not-for-profit organisation, entirely funded by generous donations from supporters like you. Thanks to GeneEthics’ education, media and lobbying work, public awareness and debate over GE is at an all time high. Your donation will help translate community awareness into effective resistance to GE crops and food products.
Public health, the environment and security for farmers are our top priorities.
This year we will work with you to:
Stop the release of herbicide tolerant GE canola
Get public support for GE-free food processors and retailers
Help schools, hospitals, councils and meals on wheels to get GE-free food services and
Spread government decisions for a GE freeze to the whole of Australia
Recombinant DNA and other manipulation technologies may be used to alter the basic structures of all living organisms by the transfer of genetic material between unrelated life forms. Their use will have major impacts on both the natural environment and human societies, many of which may be harmful and irreversible. All citizens therefore have the right to be involved in deciding which applications will be rejected and which approved.
