Our mission is to create opportunities for Chicago’s young people to build local-to-global alliances in the Americas which advance sustainable community development and strengthen multi-cultural understanding. Committed to intergenerational leadership, we empower young people to build relationships across diverse communities to enhance their understanding of, and interest in, becoming responsible global citizens in a rapidly changing world.
In order to fulfill this mission, we:
Cultivate intergenerational cooperation within our Chicago communities and throughout the Americas
Build friendships with individuals and organizations—amigos—across neighborhood and international divides to facilitate:
Multi-cultural understanding
Community dialogue
A sustainable future for our city and the communities of the Americas
Model democratic participation
