Why Now

The time is now for HUB is because the old paradigm doesn’t work. The future of humanity is in a for‐benefit, sharing, caring enterprise. The HUB business structure embodies the same vision we have for the world‐ it is a self sustaining and self‐empowering organization.  Unlike typical non‐profits who must rely on their next donation to proceed, HUB was designed so that it will self‐sustain over time.  When you join HUB, we actively teach you how to sustain your living and your giving.

HUB is a Multi-level Marketing Company (MLM)

We looked at every business model available that would allow our members to actively connect with each other and own a portion of the business.  We also looked at the spiritual principle of universal flow (giving and receiving) and the MLM structure was the best model available in the world today to meet these principles. 

So, the founders based HUB on the best model available (MLM) and then changed elements to better fit with our mission to be the HUB of humanitarian change through sustainable global giving.

Why is MLM the best structure for giving?

1.  The MLM Model creates the possibility of exponential giving.  Think about it.  If you (as an individual) gave $99 per month to a charity of your choice, you would be gifting a total of $99 per month.  If you as an active MLM member gifted $99 per month and encouraged another three people to do the same, then every one of them encouraged three more people, you would be personally gifting $99 per month, but you would be responsible for the gifting of $1287 per month (and that is a conservative estimate based on only two levels below you). 

The Two Ways To Join HUB

1. Become a member and have access to the HUB community (without utilizing the social marketing structure); or
2. Become a member, have access to the HUB community, and actively work to share HUB with others.  This is what we call exponential giving and it is what we believe has the power to affect global change in a massive way.  As an exponential giver you create sustainable monetary flow for yourself, HUB, and the world.

We create strong partnerships
One of the benefits of being linked-in to an organization like HUB is that we are connected to the best in the world. 

Let us explain.  HUB is in partnership with some of the world’s finest non-profit organizations.  We work as a HUB (a center) for these organizations. Some of our current partners focus on food, others focus on water.  Additional partners focus on education or micro-lending.  HUB connects all of these organizations and helps create a cohesive aid/empowerment package (containing food, water, education, and micro-lending) that can be delivered directly to field agents in chosen communities.  Right now, HUB is focusing our comprehensive aid packages in Africa, creating an “extreme makeover” effect you can see village by village.  In the future, HUB plans to include collaborations with health, technology, and ecostainment organizations as well – further empowering global communities with sustainable solutions. 

Importantly, HUB’s aid packages are not exclusive to a particular location.  HUB can re-direct this type of aid and swiftly focus on any overwhelming request, including those in the USA (such as a natural disaster, etc.) 

The aid we offer is efficient, comprehensive and designed to support the sustainability of the individual and the community.

We show you where your money goes

A major benefit of a social marketing network model is that it is transparent. HUB will provide you with a direct link and reports to the individual children and women you are supporting in each compassion community. We are constantly working to make the system more transparent to show how money flows throughout the entire cycle.

The HUB Vision
We are committed to individual transformation and the transformation of the entire planet.

Over the next 5 years, HUB’s goals are to:

1. Unite over 8 million souls and 5 thousand organizations dedicated to changing the world,
2. Empower over 40 million people through sustainable global giving, and
3. Create a self-sustaining organization capable of more abundant giving each year.

Our First Goal
Our first order of business is to grow to 400,000 members.  For perspective, when we (as HUB) reach this size, we will be:

• Feeding 6.5 million children;
• Educating 6.5 million children in 12,000 HUB schools;
• Providing pure water for 22 million people;
• Providing micro-loans for millions of entrepreneurs producing products and services designed to benefit the planet.

Why is this our first goal? 
Because we know it’s possible and because this kind of impact has the potential to significantly change our world.

What Does Being A Member Mean?
Being a HUB member means you join our empowerment community and give $99 monthly.  This means that every month you will be helping to:

• Feed 3 children;
• Educate 3 children;
• Provide clean water for 10 people; and
• Environmental sustainability training to 16 people.

In addition, your $99 gives you access to the HUB community and its resources which includes (but is not limited to): 

• Private Instant Access to the worlds top leaders, trainers, and empowerment experts.
• Connection to the HUB Social Network where you will find like-minded people who share similar visions.  The network also includes social change leaders committed to helping you turn your personal visions for humanity into reality.
• Access to HUB’s Circles of Brilliance, a support network (similar to mastermind groups) that is specifically designed to connect your passions w/with others who will support and energize your passion to change the world. 
• Access to Blue Planet Living, a central meeting point for products and ideas that contribute to making a positive change in the world.  You can choose to create, buy, or sell socially conscious products through the HUB network.
• Access to pre-designed tools that effectively spread the message of HUB and sustainable global giving.
• Web access to your own Global Map Of Change.  This tool allows you to track your personal impact (the power of your personal giving) on an ongoing basis.  Click on the villages in Africa and read the stories from people whose lives you personally helped change.  You will be able to see with your own eyes the impact you are making on the world.  Over time, the number of lives you can impact will continue to rise into the thousands or even millions. 

The above is what we call an “individual giver”. 
If you choose, there’s a way to participate in HUB that turns your giving into “exponential giving”.

What Is An Exponential Giver?
An exponential giver is a member who gifts $99 per month and inspires three people to do the same, and then those three people also inspire three people to do the same.  As an exponential giver you are personally gifting $99 per month, but are responsible for the “gifting impact” of all the people inspired by you over time.  In this example, the exponential giver personally gifted $99 per month, but inspired the gift of $1287 per month - and that is a conservative estimate based on only two levels of giving! 

For perspective…
The individual giver (who did not utilize the social marketing model) gifted $99 per month and helped impact a total of 32 lives that month:

• Fed 3 people;
• Educated 3 people;
• Provided clean water for 10 people; and
• Environmental sustainability training to 16 people

Not bad, but consider this… the exponential giver (who chose to inspire others to give) gifted $99 per month and helped impact a total of 416 lives that month:

• Fed 39 people
• Educated 39 people;
• Provided clean water for 130 people; and
• Environmental sustainability training to 208 people
     …all without a lot of extra effort.  

Exponential giving is a great example of how the HUB structure can magnify giving.

Status

It's now mid-January, and HUB is approximately six weeks old and in pre-launch mode. The editor here attended the Awakening Brilliance Conference in December and was buzzin after the three day event, signed on as a Guardian Angel and particpated in Feed333 feeding the homeless events before theholiday, and arecent visit bt Dr. Yunus in Los Angeles. We are gathering interested angel investor / early members (now over 130) until the end of January and launching with the MLM model next month in February 2008.

Individuals, non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses can all join HUB.
