The BOCN is dedicated to the nationwide recovery of our wild Barn Owl populations. The Hawk and Owl Trust set up BOCN after their 1980s population survey showed a shocking decline of around 70% over just 50 years.
We are a network of specialist voluntary advisors, working with farmers and landowners to help this beautiful species by promoting a nationwide habitat creation schemecre and installing Barn Owl nest boxes around the country.
We hope to increase numbers to 6000 pairs by the year 2012. Everyone can help. Become a member of the Hawk and Owl Trust, volunteer with a local project, or Adopt-a-Box.
