About  [Edit]

Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 1992 by a group of concerned residents who saw that litter was becoming a problem in their community through lack of community pride, limited knowledge of disposal options and urban growth. The organization, previously known as Keep Hillsborough County Clean, originated with the Thonotosassa Pilot Program, which dates back to August of 1990.

The mission of KHCB is to create an awareness of litter prevention, recycling and beautification through education programs, community presentations and cleanups countywide.

Over the last 15 years, we have recruited tens of thousands of volunteers and collected hundreds of thousands of pounds of litter and illegally dumped material during the Great American Cleanup, the Florida Coastal Cleanup and the Adopt-A-Road/Adopt-A-Shore programs.
