About  [Edit]

SOS Water Coalition Eau secours! is an independent non-profit organization offering a website without publicity. Your membership fee is our main source of financing. We are a group of eco-citizens trying to prevent the negative effects of polluted water on our fellow-citizen and to preserve the watertable for our children. If you click on "To become a member" at the top of your screen, you will gain access to all daily news and a variety of ressources, but for the moment 99% is in french. This site will evolve with the needs of the coallition and is not meant as a resource for scientific research. It evolves with the debate on water and the availability of useful tools for members. In this context, it is important to understand that daily modifications do not always appear in the opening pages.

Objectives

The organizations pursues the following objectives :

to further the establishment of a globally integrated policy on water use in Québec through critical analysis, debate and concern for national and international priorities concerning water use;

to insure that such a platform be submitted to all citizens with the view of generating a Water Law, associated bylaws and the necessary means for control and evaluation;

to insure that all local, national or international dimensions of the problem be presented in a transparent and crystal-clear framework in order to generate a true public debate
