About [Edit]
The Phoenix Fund was founded by a number of the Russian and US conservationists and registered in Vladivostok as a Russian non-profit, non-governmental organization in March 1998. Its mission is to support and coordinate biodiversity conservation projects in the Russian Far East.
Our efforts are concerned with monitoring closely the wildlife of the region, developing proposals and implementing and administering important projects aimed at conserving the biodiversity of the Russian Far East. In our projects we cooperate closely with foreign environmental organizations, such as WildAid, Barbara Delano Foundation, Save the Tiger Fund, Tigris Foundation, Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Fund, Alertis, IFAW, the 21st Century Tiger Fund, Rufford Foundation, AMUR, WWF, Project AWARE and straighten network with the local authorities, environmental NGOs, scientists, educational institutions, and the public.
Phoenix Fund is a member of the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance [ALTA] and holds a secretary position of the Far Eastern Leopard Steering Committee.
We are infinitely grateful to our partners for having supported our work in the Russian Far East. Please know that your support has enabled us to revert the Siberian tiger population, combat poaching, successfully fight illegal wildlife trade, and provide educational facilities for youth. We are looking forward to our future cooperation.
