Selen NGO, an organization created by professional journalists in 2003, believes that freedom of information and freedom of expression are very important aspects of a developing democratic society. The main goals of Selen NGO are: 

-      to support and protect the role of mass media professionals in Lori Region

-      to educate aspiring journalists

-      to advocate for vulnerable groups in Lori Region.

Some of the areas in which we hope to concentrate our efforts in the future are:

-         protection and safety of our parentless children,

-         education campaign on the dangers of human trafficking,

-         promotion of a strong union of mass media professionals in Lori Region,

-         outreach efforts to the vulnerable groups in Lori Region,

-         development of a network of trained advocate volunteers who will be available for consultations to the public.

-         making awareness raising campaigns about the disease HIV
