StreetWise was founded to meet a vitally important area of need among the homeless of Chicago. Through our operation of a street newspaper, and in 2006 having added television and radio to our media vehicles, we seek to empower men and women who are homeless, or at risk of becoming so, as they work toward gainful employment. We strive to help the homeless of Chicago help themselves through opportunities to earn a living and gain valuable job skills.
