The Omprakash Foundation is a registered 501c3 organization offering a new model of global education that empowers people everywhere to become conscious participants in processes of social transformation. Our website contains an ever-expanding database of grassroots educational projects with which we have established personal relationships. In the democratic, all-empowering spirit of YouTube and Wikipedia, the content of this website is user-generated: as people young and old travel the world to volunteer and build relationships with scattered schools and libraries, we invite them to bring these educational projects into the Omprakash network.
A group devoted to the promotion of a global community through the spread of education in impoverished or otherwise needy areas of the world. Omprakash provides funding, resources (human or material), and benevolent interest for schools and individuals seeking to experience the reward of education. The willingness to participate in an interconnected world of selflessness and compassion is the core of Omprakash, and we invite you to share our vision. The foundation is currently involved in the donation of books and necessary materials for schools in India, Tibet, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, and a growing list of countries throughout Asia, Africa, and South America. We are continually seeking to cooperate with organizations around the world for further opportunities, and are always in need of volunteers. If you are curious to see the world and make a difference, this is your chance: we encourage anyone who has any interest in volunteering to visit the website.
