About  [Edit]

Pro Mujer is a women's development organization whose mission is to provide Latin America’s poorest women with the means to build livelihoods for themselves and futures for their families through micro-lending, business training, and healthcare support.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Pro Mujer Peru began in 1999 building upon the knowledge and lessons learned in Bolivia and Nicaragua. Credit operations quickly reached sustainability within three years in Puno and Juliaca. In November 2002, after investigating the market potential and client demand in several cities,

Pro Mujer decided to expand operations into Tacna. Pro Mujer Peru was awarded US$ 82,192 from “Fondoempleo”, a national institution that provides contributions from private companies and the government. Pro Mujer Peru has also qualified for a loan of US$ 500,000 with the Interamerican Development Bank to expand services into Juliaca and Tacna. Pro Mujer Peru is being recognized for its excellence. Foncodes, a national institution for the support of social development projects, ranked Pro Mujer Peru among the best institutions in the country.

NON-FINANCIAL SERVICES
