Sustainable Earth Solutions, Inc. is a Subchapter S Corporation established in January 2006 in the State of New York. The corporate office is located at102 Oakgrove Drive in Williamsville, NY, 14221. The web site is www.sustainableearthsolutions.org The corporation was formed to help businesses, organizations and institutions develop creative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues related to their products and services. Sustainable Earth Solutions is a consulting services organization. Client services are delivered on-site at client facilities and in suitable off-site locations designed for facilitated meetings and organizational retreats. Sustainable Earth Solutions fills a critical gap by combining an empirically proven methodology of organizational innovation to guide businesses, organizations and educational institutions in the process of discovering, developing and implementing sustainable practices.
Sustainable Earth Solutions helps organizations successfully create
solutions to address their environmental needs. The solutions are
designed and developed by applying empirically supported innovation techniques
and proven approaches to guiding, coaching and leading change. Members of
client organizations work in collaboration with the Sustainable Earth Solutions
team, partnering to bring about sustainable change.
Shaping Solutions
As municipalities, businesses, institutions and organizations seek to save energy, resources and reduce waste and the costs associated with it, they are often operating in old paradigms. Leaders tend to focus their thinking on a perception of a problem which is often a small portion of a much larger picture. And as they focus on a small segment of a larger frame, they often think myopically, missing answers and opportunities which exist in unexpected ways outside of their field of vision.
Using an environmental lens to view a business or organization can be
cost-effective. It has been shown that by being sustainable, a company
can be more profitable. Sustainable Earth Solutions empowers individuals
through training in creative and critical thinking. These thinking skills
establish the foundation of an organizational culture which fuels innovation.

Stages Employed
Sustainable Earth Solutions helps clients by providing custom-designed programs which operate through five progressive stages:
1. Refocus organizational vision to see clearly a larger context around a challenge. Be sure the organization is solving the right problem.
2. Unleash the power within the organization to discover original solutions based solely upon the individual clients environmental needs.
3. Counsel change initiatives from conception through implementation.
4. Conduct comprehensive training in breakthrough thinking methods by teaching the skills of creative and critical thinking based upon the Osborn-Parnes Model of Creative Problem Solving.
5. Provide support after the on-site training to ensure the solutions are sustainable and adaptive.
The solutions provided by Sustainable Earth Solutions are transformative. The people in organizations are empowered because SES uses the human capital of the mind and an empirically tested thinking process to discover new ways of seeing challenges and working through problems. By applying the empirically tested methods of the Osborn-Parnes Model of Creative Problem Solving (CPS), SES can guide clients to see a given problem as an opportunity and as part of a system. Applying professional facilitation processes based upon CPS methods, clients explore the unknown facets of their challenge. They often come to understand the current landscape in which they function at a deeper, more meaningful level.

This program appears to have efficacy training high school students in Buffalo. Students who have been trained by them have entered colleges and participated in campus sustainability efforts.

This organization is a leader in training youth in sustainable practices and Change Leadership. The Environmental Youth Summit is the primary service that empowers youth to create positive environmental change using tested and research based tools of creativity. The model (Creative Problem Solving) used at the Summit, has been developed at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College, NY, USA.

The Environmental Youth Summit is organized by Sustainable Earth Solutions of Williamsville, New York to teach area youth how to become leaders and change agents in their local communities. In previous summits, schools from the region have brought teams of 6 to 8 students to design and plan environmental projects that would improve their schools. Resulting projects have included the development of a solar panel system and an aquatics pond for Alden High School and a 3 year student led restoration effort of the Bailey Peninsula by South Park High School.
“I know that I am now going to start being 100 times more dedicated to the Bailey Peninsula project. I really think that we can make a difference,” a South Park Student said.
This year, Dave Bauer, President of Sustainable Earth Solutions, is driving for 10 schools and student groups to participate.
“For many of these kids, this will be their first time in a corporate environment that is designed for meetings,” Bauer said, “I am excited by Rich’s support by providing us this space.”
Each student group will be facilitated through the planning process by a trained facilitator from the International Center for Studies in Creativity and originate their own project. Each school will receive a grant for the successful completion of their project.
