Bill McDonough posed a question in order to guide the design process to nurture a future vision of a healthy planet.
‘how do we love all of the children of all species for all time?’
Earth Imagineers have decided to only work on projects that address this question during the design to ensure that there are positive outcomes for individuals, the environment, the local economy and the community.
The stability of community and individuals is reliant on how dependent we are on energy and resource from outside our community. Localising power, food production, waste treatment and recycling, and human resources creates stability to buffer rapid change. Nurturing diversity in local ecology, community and economy further buffers against radical shifts while building communication networks to pool resource, share information and abundance, further contributes to overall system stability.
