About [Edit]
Located right in the middle of San Francisco’s historic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, Peaceful World’s international headquarters is located at the Red Victorian 1665 Haight Street, San Francisco. The Red Victorian Peace Center is a mecca for innovative ideas, intercultural dialogue and understanding.
Peaceful World Foundation is a non-profit organization, with a mission to connect travelers, social entrepreneurs and positive change organizations. Our three main projects are: bringing about millions of face-to-face World Conversations across the globe. Through friendship and micro loans supporting emerging third world entrepreneurs. At our home in San Francisco hosting meetings and events for organizations and other non-profits working towards social change and sustainability.
Here at Peaceful World Foundation, we are asking the big questions. Some of the most pertinent and pressing questions for us are:
1) How can we be the change we wish to see in the world?
How we model the kind of world we want can be achieved in numerous or perhaps infinite ways. Here at the Peaceful World Center, we believe that many of the problems in today’s world are due to a fundamental lack of empathy for others’ views and experiences. Understanding begins with taking the time to talk - and listen. By bringing together a diverse group with different perspectives around a World Conversation table, and talking about personal experiences rather than abstract theory, we are increasing and encouraging understanding and thereby actively participating in the creation of a new global paradigm.

World Conversations are held at Conversation Tables every Sunday morning at nine a.m. in San Francisco at the Red Vic Peace Center. Everyone is invited to the Conversation Table, and if you don't live in San Francisco, you can start your own Conversation in your community. Ask us how and we'll show you!

2) How can we help those most in need to help themselves?
In today's world we are confronted by many challenging issues: human rights violations, environmental destruction, war and poverty. We want to make a difference, and that is why we are always looking for organizations that are actively engaged in the social change movement. Peaceful World Foundation has recently partnered with Kiva.org, an empowering organization that makes it possible for our members to contribute micro-loans to the working poor in the developing world. These miniscule amounts of credit can be as small as $25 but provide a huge improvement in the lives of our recipients. These loans are not handouts or charity, but instead they are paid back over time as these emerging entrepreneurs steadily become economically independent

3) When our planet is faced with so many critical issues, what can we do to achieve one global community?
At the Red Vic Peace Center we offer our space to be used for public events or private meetings by other non-profit organizations working toward peace, sustainability, and positive social change. We invite your organization to set-up an event or meeting in our Peace Cafe. Contact us at PeacefulWorldFoundation@Gmail.com or call us at (415) 864-1550. We look forward to hearing from you.
