About  [Edit]

Mission: Empowerment Works (EW) is a Global Sustainability Think-Tank in Action advancing collaborative, multi-sector strategies for humanity to achieve a healthier, culturally-rich and environmentally-secure future.

Action: EW catalyzes the efforts of social entrepreneurs, humanitarian & environmental organizations by increasing their access to global markets, appropriate technologies and capital through mutually-supportive public and private collaborations.

The EW Model of Sustainable Development:

1) Identify "PARTNERS IN EMPOWERMENT": community members, local & international organizations, socially conscious entrepreneurs, and others working to address critical issues in focus area.

2) Identify "ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES" through collaborative assessment of sustainable human and natural resources.

3) Develop a comprehensive, culturally appropriate plan (pro-active solutions) where long-term responsibility is shared between participants & project partners.

4) Facilitate global transfer of critical information and appropriate technologies.

5) Provide/support vocational skill development and other practical education.

6) Assist in the initial phases of development & marketing of products and goods that value and protect local cultural heritage and natural resources.

7) Build creative partnerships between the public and private sectors that improve local businesses' access to domestic and global markets for long-term success.
