Welcome to the Website of Tibetan Village Project
Tibetan Village Project, a non-profit and non-political organization dedicated to alleviating poverty and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Tibet. Health Care
The Tibetan Village Project currently supports small health clinics in remote villages by raising funds to build medical clinic, purchase medical supplies and equipment, and work with village healthcare workers. The clinics provide basic medical treatment and health education. Learn more.
Education
Currently, our priority is to help several schools in rural areas that have not been operational due to financial difficulties. We help them by raising funds to provide teacher salaries, scholarships, textbooks and other school supplies. Learn more.
Community Development
The primary goal of community development is to enhance the long-term social, economic, and environmental conditions in communities while addressing people`s most basic needs. In addition to our core projects that focus on health and education, we build and repair bridges in areas that are in critical need of them. We also support our solar technicians who repair solar lighting and machinery, such as farming tractors, and distribute solar lanterns and PV systems when possible. Ultimately, we work to reduce donation dependency; create self-sustaining projects through income generating micro-enterprises; and provide employable skill trainings.
Art and Culture Program
As part of our community outreach effort, the Tibetan Village Project offers educational and cultural related programs in local communities including photography exhibits, Tibetan art shows, films, lectures and slide show presentations. This program is ideally suited for public places, such as libraries, churches, schools or community centers. If you or anyone you know might be interested in helping us to organize an event, please contact us or see selected photos from past events.
