Habib's Garden

Connecting People to Weave a Better World

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Steve Habib Rose.  A number of us met this evening and thought that this group would be a fitting tribute. Lets use this group to recognize, honor and appreciate the many gifts and blessings he bestowed on so many of us. Please add yourself and your reflections.

About  [Edit]

As a foundation, our purpose is clear:

• Contribute to innovative community impact;

• Build quality relationships with partners; and

• Have an outstanding work culture.

We make charitable grants in three geographical areas and in three thematic interests. We fund locally, regionally and globally. Locally, we support grassroots leadership and a selected number of nonprofit organizations in Tacoma and Pierce County. Regionally, we make grants in Western Washington related to Environmental Sustainability. Globally, we fund a select group of nonprofits working on issues of peace and security.

The Russell Family Foundation seeks to contribute to innovative community impact, build quality relationships with partners and have an outstanding work culture.

We value families as unique communities of individuals.

We value integrity in an environment of mutual trust and respect.

We value honest and constructive communications.

We believe in life–long learning.

We accept our responsibilities as humble stewards.

We value courage in our programs and we are satisfied with quiet impact.

Hello,

As a life long reader of Herman Daly, Robert Costanza, Paul Hawken, Bucky Fuller, etc… going all the back to Stewart Brand’s first Whole Earth Catalog – I want to join like minded others in hands-on, bottoms-up sustainable economic development.

I am well connected and have built products around my focus see
www.GreenPortal.org as example -

Please help me connect to like-minded others.. I am looking to connect some dots -
