About  [Edit]

Hydropower Reform Coalition Pacific Northwest & Alaska is a consortium of national, state, and local conservation and recreation organizations working to reform national hydropower policies and to achieve improvements to rivers altered by hydropower dams.

Founded in 1992, the Coalition is a consortium of national, state, and local conservation and recreation organizations working to reform national hydropower policies and to achieve improvements to rivers altered by hydropower dams.

Between 2000 and 2010, hundreds of rivers will have the chance to be restored by changing the way dams operate. The Coalition and its members play a prominent role in dam licensing to ensure that the health and welfare of our nation's rivers are restored and protected.
