About [Edit]
Mission
Palang Thai is a Thailand-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering grassroots communities and small entrepreneurs to use renewable energy in ways that support sustainable development and participatory democracy.
We have four project areas:
* The Thai Net Metering Project promotes the implementation of net-metered renewable energy projects in rural Thai communities.
* The Burma Sustainable Energy Project [BSEP] provides hands-on appropriate technology training and financial support to village innovators in ethnic minority areas in Burma.
* Palang Thai Community micro-hydro works with villagers, local NGOs, and students from US high schools and universities to build community micro-hydroelectric plants in remote Thai villages.
* Public interest energy policy analysis: We work with Thai NGOs and government agencies to analyze electricity planning and policy from a public interest perspective.
