About [Edit]
T.E.N. Charities is a local and international response to the human rights emergency of human trafficking - the modern practice of slavery. We offer a way to become involved in the struggle to end slavery, and give you the tools and support you need to mobilize your friends and your community.
27 million people around the world are believed to be enslaved, according to UNICEF. This is more than at any other time in history.
The problem is severe, but there is hope. Survivors and anti-trafficking organizations around the world have created their own Underground Railroad to rescue others, and to prevent trafficking through education, border prevention programs, and economic empowerment for those at the highest risk.
The Emancipation Network was founded to provide immediate help to survivors, high risk women, and anti-trafficking agencies, and also to be part of creating a critical mass of abolitionists in the US who can participate in large scale efforts to eradicate slavery once and for all.
TEN Charities is a federal tax exempt organization which is the nonprofit parnter of The Emancipation Network. TEN Charities is funded by 100% of the excess profits generated by the handicrafts sold by The Emancipation Network Inc, and by donations and grants.
TEN Inc. imports and sells beautiful handicraft products made by survivors of human trafficking, and persons at high risk of being trafficked. TEN Ambassadors and volunteers sell the goods at home Awareness parties and community events.
Trafficking survivors and high risk girls cannot afford to be paralyzed by the enormity of the problem - and neither can we. TEN Charities and TEN Inc allow you to become part of the solution. Join us, and Make the Difference in the struggle for freedom for all people.
