The Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance (AGLA) is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to improve the quality of life and meet the needs of the Gay and Lesbian community throughout Arlington, Virginia. We are committed to creating an organization that reflects the diversity of the Arlington community and building relationships with business and civic groups and community leaders.
Our work includes:
Community Service, Projects that demonstrate our commitment to improve the quality of life for all Arlingtonians and reflect the positive image of gay and lesbian people.
Social Activities, A wide variety of social events that provide a safe and comfortable community for Gays and Lesbians to meet. Dinners, theatre nights, picnics, mixers, LGBT families, and more.
Political Awareness, Vigorous nonpartisan political activities that have earned AGLA the respect of community leaders and ensure that gay and lesbian voices remain an integral part of the local government decision making process.
