Our MISSION is to support and promote both the development of a Saskatchewan ecotourism industry and protection and perpetuation of host natural ecosystems and cultures.



Our OBJECTIVES include:



Advocacy: to provide advocacy on issues and opportunities affecting ecotourism such as promoting and supporting the establishment of a system of protected areas representing all recognized ecosystems in Saskatchewan



Monitoring: to help monitor the impact of ecotourism on ecosystems



Forum for Collaboration: to be the forum for Saskatchewan ecotour operators for developing and promoting best practices in a mutually supportive and positive learning environment



Information: to provide information services and linkages to sources of information related to ecotourism



Accreditation: to establish and provide an accreditation service for Saskatchewan ecotour operators



Access to Expertise: to facilitate access to a network of professionals such as tour operators, developers, site operators, lodge owners, conservationists, tourism and recreation planners, architects, researchers, and government and non-government organizations



Training: to provide and facilitate training opportunities by coordinating and brokering the best educational and training services available to ESS membership
