About
A California nonprofit, non-government organization organized in 1976. PCFFA represents, through its member associations, mostly commercial fishermen and women who are owner-operators of their vessels. PCFFA is charged with representing fishermen before state, regional and federal regulatory and legislative bodies. During its 17 year history, the organization has become well known for its work in fishing port development and in the area of fish habitat protection.
The Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen's Associations (PCFFA) is by far the largest and most politically active trade association of commercial fishermen on the west coast. For the last 20 years, we have been leading the industry in assuring the rights of individual fishermen and fighting for the long-term survival of commercial fishing as a productive livelihood and way of life.
