Mission of AfricAid



AfricAid is a nonprofit organization that seeks to help provide educational opportunities for children on the African continent. AfricAid seeks to help needy Africans by collecting educational materials and supplies, money, and other support for education in Africa. AfricAid ships the supplies and money to Africa for distribution through other nonprofit organizations and individuals on the African continent.



For example, one school that AfricAid has benefited is the MaaSae Girls' Lutheran Secondary School outside Arusha, Tanzania. This school was founded in 1995 in order to provide Maasai girls with a secondary education; this is a giant step in expanding the choices and opportunities available to Maasai girls, as they were previously not educated beyond primary school. The second school supported by AfricAid is Maji ya Chai, located in the Usa River region of Tanzania. AfricAid intends to seek out and benefit other such organizations, with an emphasis on education.
