Our Mission
Incorporated in 1968, the Essex Land Conservation Trust (ELCT) is a private, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to acquire and manage open space properties and support environmental projects. It works cooperatively with private individuals, the Town of Essex, and the State of Connecticut. ELCT seeks to help the town to protect and enhance its natural resources through education, communication, and special projects.
