American Littoral Society and Clean Ocean Action, in Wildwood, New Jersey, has been a great success. Director Tony Totah, who has worked with the Littoral Society's South Jersey office in Tuckerton and been Clean Ocean Action's South Jersey coordinator, has taken a vacant storefront in Wildwood's downtown mall and converted it into a vibrant interactive center for coastal environmental education and advocacy.



With 12 large aquariums holding locally collected species of fish, crustaceans, octopi and coral, ICE has become a hub of activity for students, teachers and anyone interested in the coastal habitat of Southern New Jersey. There are also hands on activity centers and work stations. The Institute also offers a wide variety educational programs and field trips, many designed for educators and their students..
