About [Edit]
Description
Bricolage is a term coined by French anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss which means, the art of problem solving with found materials or conditions.
We are dedicated to solving the biological cultural and economic problems of developing local and sustainable, closed loop, cradle-to-cradle systems.
We approach this by addressing both food and waste production simultaneously.
In food production, we are strengthening local food systems by helping farmers create effective direct marketing schemes and develop innovative links between producers and consumers.
For waste production we are researching and educating about innovative, on-site food and construction waste recycling and reuse, as well as ecologically efficient urban planning and architectural design.
We are also hoping to develop alternative environmental summer programs for high school students which educates about "where our food comes from."
