atmosfair is a joint initiative of forum anders reisen and the environment and development organisation, Germanwatch. The German Federal Environment Ministry supported the initiative. atmosfair will soon become an independent, non-profit organization.



atmosfair is based on high standards that were developed in cooperation with scientists and environmental organisations. An advisory board composed of scientists, environmental organisations and the German Federal Environment Ministry will monitor these standards in the future.



Our projects meet the highest environmental and climate protection standards as regards emissions calculation, project selection and funds allocation. Using serious monitoring mechanisms and detailed information, we guarantee that the money really goes where it should. In spite of all this, however, the fact remains: not flying is still the best environmental alternative.
