To educate the UNL campus community and public at large of issues concerning the local, regional, national and global environment; to serve all individuals in the UNL campus community and public at large by obtaining and possessing materials (brochures, videos, books, periodicals, job, study and research listings, and reference materials) concerning the areas of the above-mentioned environment; and in doing so promote better awareness of environmental issues, which will result in better environmental stewardship of the areas mentioned above.
