Askovgaarden was founded in 1943 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Aims and objecticves: to facilitate social work in the local communities with strategies of empowerment for the citizens. To implement new strategies of social work and participate in the debate about social policy, health and the relationship between citizen and society - but free from any confessional and/or policical-party bias.
Askovgaarden has a broad range of activities as described above.
Especially we have a development centre working with development of new methods, research and evaluation for Municipalities in Denmark.
Askovgaarden has a long tradition for international coooperation in and outside Europe.
