About [Edit]
The Association for Human Rights and Democracy (AHDA) is delighted to present its schedule of events for the summer semester 2002. AHDA is an international human rights non-governmental organization and was founded in Vienna in 1998. Main issues addressed by AHDA are the successful integration of immigrants into Austrian society, as well as the support of countries in Africa by means of initiating or participating in projects and actions aimed at sustainable development. Thus, AHDA aims at promoting human rights and incorporating civil society in governing processes.
Among the concerns at the core of AHDA“s activities are the improvement of intercultural understanding and the promotion of political awareness among individuals in African and European societies. To further this aim and to add impetus to the fight against racism, the series of seminars, lectures and discussions around the theme ”Migration, Xenophobia, Civil Society, Globalisation and their Relation to Sustainable Development„ was born.
