The MMCWA is a voluntary organization dedicated to serving the Myanmar society in promoting the health and well being of mothers and children with the aim to improving the quality of life of the people.



Objectives

To disseminate health information and education through information, education and communication [IEC] programmes nation-wide.

To plan, implement and monitor programmes on Maternal and Child Health [MCH] including Birth Spacing to reach the community at grass roots level.

To estiblish child day-care centers to facilitate early childhood development and also the enable mothers to work and earn income.

To provide scholarships to enable school going age children to attend schools.

To plan and implement functional literacy programmes with a focus on the needs of the rural community.

To plan, implement and evaluate income generation programmes including credit and loan schemes for poor women.
