About [Edit]
The Environmental Education Association of Washington (EEAW) is Washington’s professional association for environmental educators and stakeholders. A membership based organization, EEAW is dedicated to increasing the awareness of and support for environmental education (EE) in the state of Washington. EEAW is a service oriented association working to support all who provide quality environmental education programs, training, and materials. Some of our current projects include:
providing a high calibre annual conference to share experiences, network, and learn about new trends;
leading the process of developing a Washington Comprehensive Environmental Education Plan (WACEEP);
linking quality EE frameworks and professional development services for environmental education providers; and
advocating for and promoting quality environmental education in its many forms.
EEAW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association of educators, agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals committed to quality environmental education in Washington State and to the positive role this interdisciplinary, hands-on and place-based educational approach can and does have on our communities.
EEAW is an Affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).”
