We are the Working World, a non profit organization dedicated to the spread of economic democracy. Our core project is a fund that provides productive capital directly to workers through fair loans and investments. We also help market the products from the cooperatives and democratic workplaces we support. These two processes are mutually supporting: all of our proceeds from product sales go directly into the fund.

While we have launched in Argentina, inspired by the new movement of worker-run businesses there, our long-term goal is to start Working World projects in other countries, helping to create dignified work by providing capital directly to people in democratic workplaces.

We are committed to developing truly fair trade that challenges the current multinational model, and to the idea of an international solidarity economy, where economic justice and self-determination replace exploitation and inequality.
