Mission Statement: To protect Alaska's wetlands ecosystems. The ANRC aggressively seeks full implementation of the Clean Water Act Section 404 wetlands permitting program in Alaska, as well as monitoring state and local government actions affecting wetlands. Through its recently established Wetlands Watch of Anchorage program, the ANRC seeks to engage local citizens and community groups in better protecting Anchorage wetlands and improving its water quality.
