About  [Edit]

For over 40 years, The Nature Conservancy has been present in West Virginia, protecting our first lands in Cranesville Swamp in 1964. Today, the West Virginia Chapter is proud to announce that through the ongoing support of our membership and conservation partners we have protected over 100,000 acres in West Virginia.

Our Mission

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
