SafeSave provides reliable basic banking services, profitably, to poor and very poor men, women and children, in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.



The tiny incomes of poor people are often irregular and unreliable. They have to save up, or borrow, to finance even quite small expenses, such as a visit to the doctor, or basic clothing. Banks do not serve them, so they use home savings, moneylenders, and savings-and-loan clubs - devices that are not always reliable.



SafeSave aims to serve such people as their main money-management resource. We treat clients as individuals and make a daily visit to each of them. We accept deposits or loan repayments as small as 2 cents US.
