Background: CENCOR was established as a non-profit organization to promote peace in Ghana and other West African countries, mainly through research, education, and training. It serves as a secretariat for major peace initiatives and undertakes campaigns together with other networks and institutions.



Activities: The Centre runs special programmes on the stimulation of tolerance in society and on promotion of women`s participation in peace processes. One of the current activities is the organization of a workshop on the role of traditional rulers in conflict prevention and resolution in Ghana.
