Japan AALA was first established in Tokyo as Japan Asia Solidarity Committee by such Japanese who inherited the history and tradition of struggle against Japanese aggression in Asia before and during the 2nd World War.
Japan AALA's establishment was a result of the resolution at the Meeting of Asian Nations in New Delhi in April, 1955 which promoted to organize solidarity committee in Asian nations based on the Five Principles for Peace.*

Japan AALA's solidarity activity derives from its orientation as Japanese people's movement and struggle for peace and social justice.
