The Trust seeks to support programs that assist young people, ages 8-18, in developing competencies that will enable them to grow, develop their skills, and become healthy, responsible, and caring youth and adults. Of particular interest are programs for low-income youth that operate year-round and address the following: academics, personal and social competence, health and physical well-being, preparation for work, special interests and talents, leadership and citizenship, and/or parent involvement. More specifically, the Trust seeks to support youth development organizations in one of two areas — program enhancement or capacity building.
