CUBOS
Contemporary Urban Business Observatory System
Our name connotes a cubic structure that cannot be created in reality and thus symbolizes the impossibility of structure that cannot be implemented. We cannot continue our ever expanding consumption of natural and human resources.
Lasse Ernlund Lorentzen studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, is currently a Fulbright Scholar at the Visual Arts Department at the University of California, San Diego.
Andreas Aagaard Christensen studies anthropological geography at Roskilde University and holds a bachelors degree in psychology from the same university.
Ida Lunde Jorgensen studies Business Language and Culture at Copenhagen Business School and works with sustainable development projects at Global Ecology and writes for the CBS Cornet.
The history of think tanks in Denmark is relatively short and our organization pioneers the countercultural think tank, we do not have direct influence on government, we seek to influence society by exposing an alternative prism of growth, hoping to widen people’s horizon and have our own horizon widened in a dialectic approach. Not by force, but by the will of the individual to adopt and recognize new perspectives.
We are united by a vision of freedom.
A freedom which comes not from what we can buy, not by what our mind can create, but the immaterial value, a flow of ideas and experiences that allows us to tread lighter on the earth and less on each other.
