About [Edit]
The Australian Equine Welfare Association recognises the important role the horse plays in our lives. The AEWA was established to protect all equines (horses, ponies, donkeys and mules) from neglect and abuse through a program of lobbying our government for appropriate changes in legislation, education of the public and advocacy for all horses.
Mission:
To promote the welfare and wellbeing of horses in Australia. To do this by lobbying for changes in the law to promote equine welfare; by educating and informing prospective and existing horse owners; and to re-educate and rehome neglected and abused horses.
Vision:
To become Australia's leader in the field of equine welfare through information, education and advocacy. To campaign against cruelty and neglect and to educate the wider community on the issues facing equine welfare in Australia. To dedicate ourselves to the rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected and abused horses.
