About [Edit]
HOPEHIV seeks to offer children in sub-Saharan Africa who have been affected or infected by HIV/AIDS the love, protection and support they need to build foundations of hope for the future, within their communities. We do this primarily by promoting innovation, multiplication and leadership development.
Aims and Objectives
1. To strengthen the capacity of children and their communities to deal with the impact of HIV/AIDS.
2. To support innovative, sustainable and transferable projects which will make the children and their communities more self-sufficient.
3. To identify potential orphan leaders and invest in their personal development.
4. To combat stigma, denial and discrimination in relation to those affected or impacted by HIV/AIDS.
5. To advocate for the rights of orphans and vulnerable children, raise public awareness and mobilise resources around these issues.
6. To develop strategic partnerships and alliances with both African and international organisations which will further the aims of the charity.
7. To encourage the participation of young people and those impacted by HIV/AIDS at all levels of our responses.
8. To encourage holistic responses, rooted in the community, which address the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual.
