Mandate:



We have been working in the watersheds of Salt Spring Island for 20 years. Our main mandate is watershed restoration and public education is second. We work with over 300 property owners to restore the fish bearing streams on the island and to create new aquatic habitat in the watersheds.



Projects:



Wetland, stream & lake restoration; participants in the BCLSS – BC Lake Stewardship & Monitoring Program & Secchi Disk Dip In; beaver dam restoration; education; and community planning. We also teach Capilano College Streamkeepers and have projects in all the schools on the island.
