About [Edit]
Emang Basadi Women's Association was established in 1986 by a group of women who were concerned with the promotion of the legal, social, cultural and economic status of women in Botswana. The founders of the Organization recognized and appreciated the hard work existing women's organizations were doing to uplift the position of women, especially in the social welfare area. There was however no women's organization at this time which systematically addressed the critical issue of women's rights, and Emang Basadi was formed to fill this gap.
