FUNPEA is a FOUNDATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF RESEARCH, EXTENSION AND TEACHING ON AGRARIAN SCIENCES, it is a Private Institution with Estate, Financial and Administrative independence under the terms of the Law, which is forbidden to distribute by any way, profits, allowances or any other advantages to its directors, supporters and partners. Its income will be totally allocated to accomplish its goals.



* Stimulate and support Research, Extension and Teaching activities concerning the Agrarian Sciences by Colleges and Universities, as Public and Private Institutions, Scientific Research Centers and other Institutions;



* Stimulate and support Sustainable Develop -ment and Environment Programs;



* To provide consultant scientific, technical and administratives services and to represent others institutions, as being remunerated or not, to any person or institution;



* To offer scholarships for Research and Development and to pos graduate programs in Brazil or overseas;



* To improve the exchange with similar institutions and others about its work in Brazil or overseas;



* To operate broadcasting stations with information services seeking the improvement of the rural communities in the Amazon Region and Nation;



* To subsidize the acquiring, editing and marketing of books, periodicals and bulletins concerning the agrarian sciences;



* To develop and execute scientific technical projects remunerated or not;



* To undertake technical consultants services through hiring of specialists.
