Kawartha Conservation is a watershed-based environmental organization with a particular focus on water. We are one of 36 conservation authorities operating in Ontario with a mandate to manage natural resources.

Kawartha Conservation was formed in 1979 through a partnership of municipalities and the provincial government. Today, six municipalities work cooperatively to govern Kawartha Conservation through representation on our Board of Directors. They are the City of Kawartha Lakes, Township of Scugog, Township of Brock, Municipality of Clarington, Township of Galway-Cavendish & Harvey and Township of Cavan-Monaghan.
